He currently serves as a Programming Service Officer with the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) in the Office of Compliance & Regulations, where he specializes in Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. In this role, lbn-Hashim supports accessibility oversight, regulatory compliance, and civil rights protections within transportation infrastructure, ensuring that public spaces and systems are equitable, inclusive, and accessible to all.

In addition, lbn-Hashim serves as a Commissioner on the Rhode Island Police Accreditation Commission, where he contributes to the development, evaluation, and enforcement of professional standards and accountability across law enforcement agencies statewide. visibility, and civic participation. She currently serves as a Seasonal Special Assistant to the Lieutenant
